Where are all my dollar store shoppers at?:). I'm always trying to find ways to upgrade dollar store materials and make them look a lot more stylish. There's no room off limits when it comes to me finding things to decorate and ways to make something look more expensive for a lot less. This project is no exception.
For this project, I'm using bathroom accessories and a food tray from the dollar store to transform some basic accessories. These bathroom accessories are popping with texture and the sleek modern style gives all the upscale vibes!
Materials
I purchased all my materials from the dollar store and I already had a wire cutter to easily cut the bamboo skewers and E600 glue to adhere the skewers.
Bamboo skewers
Soap Pump
Tooth Brush Holder
Tray
Step 1. (Optionally) Spray paint the basic dollar store bathroom accessories using a sleek color of your choice.
Step 2. Cut multiple bamboo skewers to the length of the bathroom accessories. Size and cut enough bamboo skewers to wrap around the base of soap dispenser and toothbrush holder.
Step 3. Gather the multiple cut skewers and sand down the edges to get a smooth finish.
Step 4. Adhere the bamboo skewers flush to each other to the base of the perimeter of the bathroom accessories.
Step 5. Complete the same steps to cover the entire face of the tray.
Then, you have a modern bathroom accessory set that is super cute! It has a modern wood contrast and blends with multiple decor styles.
