DIY Seashell Beach Accessories | Easy Coastal Decor Ideas for Summer!

Today I'm embellishing some basic slides and a DIY decorated seashell handbag.
This project is great for creating affordable and simple coastal beach accessories that are chic, stylish, and ideal for summer. You can dress these accessories up or down. These are full of texture and have bursts of color. See the techniques I used to make each piece below!

Materials:
Basic Slides
Seashell Silicone Mold
Epoxy Pigment
Glue

Step 1: Purchase some affordable slides from the store or repurpose old ones.

Step 2: Prepare the clear epoxy according to the kit's instructions. Then, add pigment into the mixed solution.

Step 3: Pour the mixture into the seashell silicone mold. Allow the epoxy time to cure.

Step 4: Adhere a seashell, rhinestones, clear marbles and beads to the slides.

Seashell Handbag
Materials:
Pencil Case
Chalk Paint
Large Plastic Seashells
Rhinestones/Beads
Large Handbag Chain
Glue
Spray Paint
Epoxy


Step 1: Coat the exterior of the pencil case using a couple of coats of chalk paint.

Step 2: Use gold spray paint to cover the entire case.

Step 3: Cover and add wood filler to any of the holes on the seashell.
Step 4: Coat the outside of the plastic shell using silver metallic spray paint.

Step 5: Mix clear epoxy and pour it over the exterior of the dried spray-painted pencil case, then smooth it with a brush.

Step 6: Use a heat gun to smooth out any air bubbles.

Step 7: Use a strong glue to attach rings on the opposite ends of the case.

Step 8: Attach a handbag chain to the rings.
