DIY No Sew Sherpa Baseball Hat | DIY Sherpa Hat

Updated: Nov 24, 2023

I've been seeing these sherpa style baseball hats being sold at some popular stores online. I still had some faux sherpa material that I've used for some sherpa slides and a sherpa belt bag. I'm all about using what I already have and thought this would be another super cute fashionable DIY for using this material. This is a great way to up-cycle an old baseball hat or you can grab this basic hat affordably at most craft stores. This hat would be perfect for the fall and winter seasons. See below how I achieved this look!

Materials:

Step 1: Start by draping the sherpa material over the brim of the hat. I started the process underneath the brim of the hat along the edge.

Step 2: Add hot glue to a portion of the hat at a time. Adhere the faux sherpa material underneath the brim of the hat.

Step 3: Add more glue and adhere the rest of the material. Pull and smooth the material along the area as you adhere it to the hat.

Step 4: Wrap and adhere the material from under the brim to the top of the hat.

Step 5: After the brim is covered, grab some more sherpa material on the front top of the hat. We're basically going to wrap the entire hat with the material.

Step 6: Adhere large pieces of sherpa material around the exterior.

Step 7: Continue the same process for completely covering the entire hat. I didn't cover the strap to keep some contrast.

This cap would be a great option for the fall and winter time. It's warm and it's stylish! What do you think? Would you wear this? Comment and come say hi. Tag me @Craftingwithcass on Instagram if you decide to create your own! Subscribe to the blog for everything DIY and NEW updates!
