Today I’m upgrading a basic belt bag and a travel bag from the Dollar Tree. These DIY projects are a great way to add some style to some basic bags without spending a lot. I'm turning these into a cargo belt bag and personalized picture makeup or toiletry bag. Look below to see how each piece is made!
Materials:
Cricut
Belt bag
Iron On Vinyl
Faux Leather Material
Scissors
Colored String
Iron/Heat Press

Step 1: Start in Cricut Design Space with using a bold font to create the text "Vacation Vibes".
Step 2: Adjust the size to fit the space in front of the bag. Select "make".

Step 3: Choose to mirror the image for this cut.

Step 4: Position the iron-on vinyl on the mat with the shiny side facing down. Let the Cricut cut the vinyl and remove the excess material.

Step 5: Next, start adding some additional ornaments on the belt bag. Cut and fold faux leather strips in half and glue the ends together. Adhere the ends to the bag with fabric glue.

Step 6: Use an iron or heat press to adhere the text to the front of the bag.

Step 7: Thread some string through the loops on the bag in a crisscross pattern.

Materials:
Iron-On Vinyl
Basic Makeup Bag
Iron-On Transfer
Iron/ Heat Press

Step 1: Measure the space on the front of the makeup bag and use that as the dimensions for the image. Upload a photo from a past vacation to Canva.

Step 2: Upload the photo to Cricut Design space as a "print then cut" image (Flat Graphic).

Step 3: Confirm the size in Cricut Design Space and send the image to an ink jet printer.

Step 4: Retrieve the image from the printer and load it into the Cricut.

Step 5: Return to Design Space and create the text "Jet Set".

Step 6: Attach the image to the front of the bag using an iron or heat press.

Step 7: Place the text over the image and press it onto the bag with an iron.
