Dollar Store Modern Snowman Winter DIYs

I had fun mixing metals with this modern snowman winter dollar store decor. I mixed gold, silver and wood to create four really cute decor pieces. I like how the snowman hour glass decor is interactive and other pieces compliment one another. I feel like this year I have done a good job of creating a variety of decor pieces for Christmas and winter no matter what your decor style. Check out below how I made each piece!

Dollar Store Modern Snowman Winter DIYs

1. Melted Snowman

Materials:

• Metal Bucket

• Metal Letters

• Wooden Snowmen

• Clear Ornaments (Large and Small)

• Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks

Directions:

1. Remove the twine from the top half of the metal bucket. ( it's not pictured, but there was originally twine wrapped around the top of this metal bucket).

2. Optionally, use metallic spray paint to cover imperfections caused by removing the twine.

3. Use hot glue to adhere a wooden snowman to the face of the bucket.

4. Adhere the metals to the top half of the bucket.

5. Then, add and stack clear ornaments inside of the bucket to create the body of the melted snowman.

2. I Heart Snowman

Materials:

• Bamboo Skewer

• Large Gold Frame

• Corrugated Metal Hearts

• Wooden Snowmen

• Scrap Wood Block

• Clear Tape (Optional)

• Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks

Directions:

1. Remove tabs from the inside border of the frame.

2. Cut to fit a bamboo skewer to fit the center width of the frame.

3. Adhere the bamboo skewer to the frame at the ends.

4. Add and adhere wood snowmen and metal hearts on the skewer alternatively.

5. Then, adhere the entire frame piece to a scrap wood block.

3. Snowmen on Snow Banks

Materials:

• Metal Plate

• Foam White Balls

• Bamboo Skewers

• Wooden Snowmen

• Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks

Directions:

1. Grab a metal plate-like object to use a base.

2. Add hot glue to the back of a wood snowman and adhere a cut bamboo skewer.

3. Stick the wooden snowman skewer into the center of a foam ball.

4. Build four constructed snowmen at different heights using the above process.

5. Then, adhere constructed snowmen to the base of the metal plate by adding glue to the bottom of the foam ball.

4. Snowman Hourglass

Materials:

• Metal Gift Tags

• Foam Beads

• Snow Globe

• Large Clear Ornament

• Small Clear Ornament

• Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks

Directions:

1. Add a desired amount of foam beads to the inside of a snow globe.

2. Add foam beads to the inside of a large and small clear ornament.

3. Add hot glue to the opening of each clear ornament to stack and create the snowman.

4. Then, tie a metal gift tag around the top clear ornament to act as the scarf.
