Today I'm enhancing glassware from the Dollar Tree to make it look more upscale. I'm applying a confetti abstract design using alcohol ink to add a color stain to the glasses. These glass pieces are being transformed into stylish candle holders. They give the impression of a tinted blown glass effect. Find more details below on how I created each piece!

Materials:
Alcohol Ink
Glass Bowls
Glass Drinkware
Marbles
Glue

Step 1: Grab a glass bowl from the dollar store.

Step 2: Grab a bottle of brown alcohol ink from the craft store.

Step 3: Use strong hold glue to attach the marbles to the glass bowl. Allow the marbles to set.

Step 4: Apply a few drops of alcohol ink to the exterior of the bowl and swirl it to cover the entire surface. Allow the ink to dry overnight or longer.

Step 5: Apply a spray sealer to seal the glass. I discovered that this Krylon sealant provided the best outcome in preserving the true color. I applied about three coats, allowing each to dry before adding the next.

Step 6: Apply glue to the bottom of one of the bowls and attach to the bottom of another.
Step 7: Place a pillar candle into the bowl.

Step 1: Pick up some drinking glasses from the dollar store.

Step 2: Use paint brushes to dab and apply alcohol ink onto the glass.
Step 3: Repeat the same process with 3 additional glasses.
Step 4: Let all the glasses dry and then apply several coats of spray sealer.

Step 5: Use a strong adhesive to glue the bottoms of two glasses together.

Step 6: Complete the same process for any other additional glasses you would like to include in the collection.

That's it! Showcase all the pieces together for a full collection. These alcohol ink glass candle holders are not only easy to make but also add a unique, handmade touch to any space. Each piece features a distinct abstract design. Whether you're giving them as gifts or keeping them for yourself, they’re guaranteed to stand out. Comment and come say Hi.
