DIY Candy Heart Themed Christmas Decor
I Candy Heart Christmas! I'm creating some fun and whimsical Christmas decor with this project. I love to showcase the variety of styles to decorate for the holidays outside of traditionally expected decor. I used some materials I had left in my craft stash from Valentine's day to create this bright colored Christmas decor. I also up-cycled a previous DIY to make part of the decor as well. I hope you like the decor as much as I do. Keep reading to see how I made all the pieces in this "I Candy Heart Christmas" decor.
I Heart XMAS Sign
Materials: (I used dollar store materials for these projects).
6 Wood Square Boxes
Colored Foam Sheets
Wood Letters
Foam Candy Heart Stickers
Black Acrylic Paint
4 Wooden Shadow Box
Hot Glue Gun with Glue Sticks
*I'm up-cycling materials from a previous DIY to complete this decor piece. Check out the video for the pre-up-cycled material here.
Directions:
Grab four wooden shadow boxes to adhere together. (I demo'ed the base of a previous craft project).
Paint the entire demo'ed base of wooden shadow boxes using black acrylic paint.
Grab six square wood boxes and cover one side of the box with a colored foam sheet.
Cut the foam sheet and adhere to one side of the box. (I alternated the colors of my boxes).
Add a wood letter to each box and a foam candy heart to one box.
Then, adhere decorated square boxes to the painted black base.
DIY Candy Heart Trees
Materials:
Mini Wood Crate Box
2 Styrofoam Cones
Foam Candy Heart Stickers
Hot Glue Gun with Glue Sticks
Directions:
Grab one styrofoam cone.
Start adhering the foam candy heart stickers to the cone tree at the bottom of the cone. (I just removed the paper backing from the stickers and stuck it to the foam cone).
Keep adhering the foam stickers up to the top of the cone until the cone is completely covered.
Complete this process to create an additional candy heart tree.
Candy Heart Ornaments
Materials:
Clear Plastic Ornaments
Foam Candy Heart Stickers
*This DIY is super easy, but is very adorable.
Directions:
Grab a clear plastic ornament.
Peel the backing off of a foam candy heart sticker and stick it to the clear ornament.
Repeat this process around the entire clear ornament. Make sure to leave space between each foam candy heart sticker so, that you can have a contrast with the clear space on the ornament.
